Heather Wise, MPH is a certified holistic health coach, wellness consultant, herbalist, certified yoga instructor, and author of the book, A Gut Feeling: Conquer Your Sweet Tooth by Tuning Into Your Microbiome.
A former wellness consultant for state-wide disease prevention and corporate wellness programs. Her work is based off evidence-based research on the microbiome and compassion-based interventions which show that kindness towards our body and ourselves is absolutely essential for our digestive and overall health.
She teaches how biome-conscious eating and fostering a positive, healthy relationship with food and our body allows us to start showing up for ourselves not only with what we're putting on our plate, but also supports our mental fitness and emotional resilience.
She has worked with pioneering preventative health organizations including the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Division of Prevention and Wellness, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Department of Prevention and Wellness. She holds a masters degree in Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health and studied with pioneers in the field of holistic wellness at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, accredited by Columbia University’s Teacher’s College and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
Heather has taught at many yoga studios, wellness centers, and universities, including at Harvard Medical School. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and daughter.
